Rural Broadband Summit & Hearing in Whitesburg, KY

We’ve reached a critical juncture in the debate over the future of wireless Internet in America. The Justice Department has sued to block AT&T’s takeover of T-Mobile, and the movement for better broadband in rural communities is growing.

That's why the Center for Media Justice, the Center for Rural Strategies and Free Press are excited to host the first Rural Broadband Summit & Hearing. This event will be held in Whitesburg, Ky. on Oct. 1112.

Rural community members, media justice advocates and local, state and federal policymakers will discuss community-based solutions to closing the digital divide for communities of color and rural, low-income and tribal communities  as well as AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile and its potential impact on rural America.
