Don’t Let the ‘Super Committee’ Axe Public Media

I'm taking a stand for arts, education and real journalism. The ‘Super Committee’ must not cut funding to NPR, PBS and other public media.

The threat to public media has never been more real than it is today. The “Super Committee” is set to slash the federal budget by $1.4 trillion, and funding for NPR, PBS and more than a thousand local stations is on the chopping block.

The last time Congress tried to cut funds for NPR and PBS, an outpouring of public protests stopped it. The upcoming fight promises to be even more intense. That’s why we’re going on the offensive right now.

Join the vast majority of Americans who believe funding for NPR and PBS is money well spent. Sign this pledge to let Congress know that cutting funding for public broadcasting is never an option.
